Community Service

We believe that our success is a two way street and that giving back to the communities in which we live and work is not just a nice idea, but an important part of employee development.  We have developed a Community Outreach Team that actively seeks out community service projects in which our staff participate, both individually and in groups.  Examples of this work include semi-annual blood drives, assistance to urban economic development partnerships, park and river clean-ups, and painting and basic carpentry at local shelters or group homes.   We hold two company-wide events every year in which groups of employees contribute their time.  One of these is in January and is held on Martin Luther King Jr. day; the second is during the summer months.  We are consistently amazed at what we can accomplish at these events and we are proud of the efforts that our employees have put forth.

We support the public service efforts of our employees who participate on local and state government boards and commissions, and in positions of leadership for charitable and service organizations. In fact, we were recognized by the United States Department of Defense National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for our support and understanding of employees that need time off to serve in the military reserve.  We are honored for this recognition of our belief in the need to serve our communities.

If you are an organization that thinks you can use our assistance then please contact us. We are always looking for new opportunities!

High School Mentoring

We work collaboratively with high school students who have an interest in any of our technical fields through job shadowing and work-study programs. These programs allow the student to gain hands-on experience in the field and in an office setting. We have recently initiated a mentoring program in a public high school in Bridgeport, Connecticut where our young professionals are exposing students to the basic elements of science and engineering.  If you would like us to bring this program to your school please contact us at COT@miloneandmacbroom.com
