Leaders in dam removal & fish passage
As pioneers of river restoration on the East Coast, our team has learned to blend the science, engineering, and art of restoring river form and process. We are passionate about rivers and immerse ourselves in understanding the design challenges of each project. Our river restoration work includes dam removal, channel and floodplain restoration, fish passage improvement, riverbank stabilization, instream habitat enhancement, riparian connectivity improvement, and flood mitigation.
Our areas of expertise
As consultants to federal, state, and local governments; non-profit organizations; and private owners, our engineers and scientists collaborate to develop designs that are environmentally sensitive, practical, and feasible. We specialize in the following areas.
Fluvial geomorphology
Natural channel design
Flood resiliency planning
Fish passage
Sediment characterization & transport analysis
Construction engineering & inspection
Dam removal
Floodplain restoration
Scour assessment
Riverbank stabilization
Public involvement planning
Regulatory permitting & compliance
